Kangana Ranaut’s National Award comes handy

Recently, amidst tight security,Kangana Ranaut shot for her upcoming film Queen at Terminal 1 of Delhi airport. However, getting permission for the shoot wasn’t very easy.

If a source is to be believed, the airport officials were reluctant in giving permission due to security reasons. However, when the officials got to know that two members from the filmy team were National Awardees, the airport officials changed their minds.

Kangana won the National Award for Fashion and director Vikas Bahl won the award for Chillar Party. Says a source, “When the officials were informed that two National Award winners were part of the film, it became easier to gain permission.”

Thereafter, the crew shot for a day at the airport.

Queen is being directed by Vikas Bahl. He said, “The authorities follow their own procedures and credibility definitely matters. I am sure the award certificates helped.”
He also said that the officials were pretty cooperative and that the shooting went off well the first day. “They had given us one of the sections of Terminal 1 for a whole day,” he says.

Queen is a story on a Delhi based girl, who goes on a honeymoon all alone. Most parts of the film has been shot on real locations in Delhi. The film has also been shot across Europe, mainly in Paris and Amsterdam.

Anushka Sharma avoid crossing path with Ranveer Singh

Anushka Sharma is doing everything possible to avoid crossing path with Ranveer Singh. At a recent award function, it was very evident that Ms Sharma was trying hard to maintain her distance from Ranveer.

Going by a popular a tabloid report, “Anushka made sure she was nowhere to be seen when Ranveer arrived at the party.”

Both, Anushka and Ranveer arrived at the same time. However, Anushka on seeing Ranveer’s car, decided to stay back till he left and walked out of the car only once she was sure Ranveer finished interacting with the media and entered the event area.

The party also saw Deepika Padukone, who is Ranveer’s Ram Leela co-star and also a good friend now. Says a source, “Anushka maintained a safe distance from Ranveer throughout. Considering that Deepika Padukone, who has been linked to him lately, was also there she made sure there were no awkward bump-ins.”

If rumors are to be believed, it was Ranveer Singh who called the affair quits.

Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma will soon start filming for Rajukumar Hirani`s ‘Peekay’, which will go on floors from February.

Says Anushka, “I am very excited to be working with Raju Hirani and Aamir Khan. We will start shooting for the film in February. I hope we try to make a better film than `3 Idiots` for the audience.”

Saif Ali Khan is happy because his life feels great!

After having a wonderful 2012, Saif Ali Khan seems to be be at peace with his personal and professional life. The actor who tied the knot with Kareena last year, is now gearing for his upcoming film Race 2.

Even though he only starred in 2 films last year, he was in the news constantly because one of his films Cocktail went on to become a blockbuster at the Box Office. His upcoming thriller Race 2 looks to open with a bang and Saif had a lot of fun performing the stunts and driving around in some super cars, of course not to forget also romancing some of the hottest actresses of Bollywood on screen in the film.

So. when a reported asked Saif if Life’s set, Saif said: . “It feels great! It seems my life is quite set… nazar mat lagao yaar (don’t jinx it).”

Saif was at the Audi car show room where he looked dashing and fit, along with his beautiful co-stars Deepika Padukone and Amisha Patel for promoting the film. .

Directed by Abbas-Mustam, Race 2 is set to release Jan 25 and is the sequel to 2008 hit film “Race”. It also features Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Saif Ali Khan, who was part of the earlier movie too, says times have changed a lot for cinema in the country, and sequels are accepted.

He said: “When I did ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ (1994), we were contemplating on a sequel to it. But then the idea was dropped because at that time, sequels didn’t used to happen. But things change… There are some films that lend themselves to a sequel, and the ‘Race’ franchise lends itself perfectly.”

Ranveer Singh and Deepika have a secret rendezvous in Dubai!

Just a few days ago it was reported that the Ram-Leela duo, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were spotted enjoying a cosy night over a cup of coffee somewhere in Mumbai.

Since then, the couple duo has been the topic of, many discussions in the film industry especially because Deepika has just been out of two relationships while Ranveer just had a bad break up with his ex whom he made his debut opposite, Anushka Sharma. So when these two met on the sets of Ram Leela an instant chord struck between the two as ever since, they’ve been in the news for various reasons.

Now, a source recently told us while the Leggy Lass was shooting for Race 2 in Dubai she has a very special and close visitor. Any guesses? yes, we are talking about Ranveer Singh. The Band Baaja Baarat actor actually flew all the way to the Arabian land to spend some time with his ‘apparently’ close friend and pretty co-star. So we’re guessing something is definitely brewing between the two were also spotted at the famous nightclub Movida in Dubai! If something’s going on between the two they should definitely make it public because we think the make a very cute couple. What say?

Amisha Patel proud to be a part of Race 2

Amisha Patel is very excited about her upcoming film Race 2, and the way the film has shaped up. The actress is on a promotional spree and is keen on having a special screening of the film for close friends from the industry.

Amisha said, “Yes, I’m planning to have a private show for my friends and people whom I’m close to. Though my role is small, I really enjoyed doing every bit of it and I’m proud to be part of it. All the actors have done a wonderful job.”

She adds, “Working with such beautiful actresses like Deepika(Padukone) and Jacqueline(Fernandez) only encouraged me more to look as beautiful as they are and work even harder on her character.”

This is not it. Amisha next film titled ‘Shortcut Romeo’ opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh is also ready for an April release.

The actress who took a break from filming Bhaiyyaji Superhit with Sunny Deol, will resume the second schedule in March. She is also eagerly looking forward to start work on her home production Desi Magic.
Add the sources, “Amisha and her business partner Kuunal Goomer are going the Karan Johar way and are going to launch two fresh faces for their home production Desi Magic opposite Amisha.”

Amisha maintains, “We can’t answer this yet but yes the film is very fresh, youthful and an out-and-out entertainer. It will cater to family and today’s youth audiences as well. Yes, may be we may lock on some fresh faces but nothing has been confirmed as yet.”

Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are the new BFF’s

Check out the new Bff’s in Bollywood. Well, we are talking about Deepika Padukone andPriyanka Chopra who seem to be bonding with each other big time these days.

However, Deepika says, her friendship with PeeCee is not new. They were always friends. “We have always been friends. Not many have seen us bonding, that’s why they get surprised,” says Deepika.

At a recent awards nomination party, Deepika and Priyanka apparently hung out together. Onlookers even remarked they were getting along “like a house on fire”.

Even at a film event in the city, the two were seeing chatting for hours. Adds Deepika, “She is a great person.”

In 2010, rumors of a cat fight between the two besties were doing rounds, with Deepika being insecure about her then boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor romancing Priyanka Chopra in Anjaana Anjaani.

Both the actors have a lot in common. Both, Deepika and Priyanka are the faces of the same skin care brand have “SRK” in common too.

Race 2

Directed by Abbas-Mustan, Race 2 is the first major release of the year. It is the sequel to the 2008 hit film, Race, and stars an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandezand Ameesha Patel. Race 2 is scheduled to release on 25th January 2013.

Jolly LLB

The film features Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao and Boman Irani in lead roles. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, The film is a social satire on the law system of India.

Shootout At Wadala

It is the prequel to 2007 Bollywood film Shootout at Lokhandwala based on the book Dongri to Dubai written by Hussain Zaidi’s. The film features an ensemble cast that includes John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood. The film will dramatise the first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where gangster Manya Surve was shot dead, which took place at the junction next to Dr.Ambedkar college, Wadala, Mumbai on 1 November 1982. The movie will hit theaters in May.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is based on former Indian athlete Milkha Singh. The story talks about his perseverance as an athlete and also as a courageous human spirit. the movie will release on July 12, 2013.

The plot revolves around the lives of three different men named David, who are about to take a step which is going to change their lives forever. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, the movie stars Vikram, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Vinay Virmani in the titular roles, alongside Tabu, Lara Dutta and Isha Sharvani.
