Akshay Kumar and Tamanna to pair up

Akshay Kumar is paired with south siren Tamanna in writer duo Sajid and Farhad’s debut directorial flick. The filmmakers are very impressed with the actress’s acting in her upcoming flick Himmatwala. Tamanna will debut in Bollywood with this film.

” Tamanna is working with Akshay’s close friend Sajid Khanand the promos of Himmatwala are already on air. After seeing the promos, Taurani and Akshay decided to cast her in the lead role,” a source told.

Akshay gave a green signal for the project earlier this month. Filming will start in June.

The source further adds, “Akshay has given a go ahead to their script which is a mass entertainer.”

Taurani says the film is an out and out mass entertainer, something Akshay excels in.

Akshay earlier worked with a South heroine Trisha Krishnan in Priyadarshan’s Khatta Meetha (2010) and also Kajal Agarwaal in their recent Special 26.

Tamanna apparently was also in talks with the makers of Heropanti to play the lead opposite Tiger Shroff, but the deal couldn’t be sealed as the makers changed their mind and decided to hunt for a fresh face instead of signing a known actress.

Sajid Farhad have penned all four of Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series and Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2.

Shahrukh Khan & Salman Khan to clash at the BO this Eid?

Salman Khan and Eid are synonymous to each other. The actor has always pre booked Eid for his movie releases. However, this year, there could be strong competition between Sallu and his arch rival Shahrukh Khan, as the latter plans to get his film hit theaters on the festival.

Buzz is that this Eid, Salman Khan might not be able to meet the festival day’s deadline, as his film ‘Mental’ hasn’t rolled out yet. Initially, SRK keeping in mind Sallu’s Eid jalwa every year, wanted to push the release date ofChennai Express a little further, as he wanted to avert any sort of BO clash with his rival’s film. However, now that Salman’s film might not make it on Eid, Shahrukh’s plans have changed.

Salman Khan has given three back to back movie success every Eid. “Salman bhai had left his mark on the Eid date since the past three years, with Wanted, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger. This year, it could be SRK who could stake a claim to the date, which is also a holiday everywhere,” a source tells a tabloid.

Rumors also have it that Sunny Deol’s film Singh Saheb the Great may also have an Eid release. By the way, Eid is likely to fall on August 8, this year.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s valuable advice for Bollywood Strugglers

Ayushmann Khurrana made his debut last year with Vicky Donor which was a hit. The film won him several awards and the actor was the most promising debutante of 2012. Now, Ayushmann gives valuable advise to all those who are struggling to make a name in Bollywood.

Ayushmann urges all the struggling actors to prepare thoroughly and also gives them hope saying there is no dearth of opportunites in Bollywood.

He said, “There are a lot of people coming to Mumbai everyday to be actors and it is very important to be at the right place at the right time. And your preparation is very important because success comes when preparation meets opportunity.”

The 28-year-old was at the music launch of his film Nautanki Saala!.

“There is no dearth of opportunities in Mumbai but there is definitely lack of preparation with all the struggling actors maybe,” he added.

“Nautanki Saala!” also sees Kunal Roy Kapur as Ayushmann’s co-star. Kunal feels struggling actors should continue working their crafts and that they should never lose hope.

“I have been acting on stage since I was 12… So, I think if anyone wants to be an actor, then they should just go out and try and get work,” Kunaal said.

“And as Ayushmann said, one thing leads to another and if you are truly talented, a lot of people do get noticed and do get picked up. People coming to city should not lose hope and should keep on improving their craft,” he added.

Veena Malik wants to kiss Salman Khan

On her birthday, Veena Malik was showered with as many as 100 kisses by guys in just a minute, there by entering the Guinness World Records by receiving 137 kisses. But, the Pakistani beauty would want to kiss one Bollywood star and he is none other than our very own and dear Salman Khan.

So what was these kisses all about?
Well, veena admitted that it was a publicity stunt for her upcoming flick, ‘The City That Never Sleeps’.

“I am a celebrity anyway and if you say that it is for publicity, ok, yeah, we need publicity for ‘The City That Never Sleeps’,” Veena said.

Veena Malike went on the break the record of Salman Khan, who recieved 108 kisses. In 2011, Salman Khan had got 108 kisses in a minute on a TV reality show “Guinness World Record – Ab India Todega”.

“We have to break 20 records for the film and this is one of the records,” she added.

veena broke the record on her birthday Feb 26. The guys were chosen through contest “The City that Never Sleeps-Bollywood Hunt”.

“Long back we decided that I will break this record on my birthday and now we have to break 19 more records for ‘The City That Never Sleeps’,” Veena said.

“So if you call it publicity, then yes, it is for publicity. Films are for what? For publicity, right?”

Veena wants to kiss the Dabangg star Salman Khan on screen. She said: “I would like to kiss the actor who does not like kissing on-screen and he is our ‘Dabangg’ Khan Salman Khan. I think that would be beautiful if we have a kiss on-screen.”

Huma Qureshi is now the actress in demand

Actress Huma Qureshi, who made her debut through Gangs of Wasseypur series has already impressed lot of filmmakers and also grabbed few good offers. But she is facing problems in managing the dates of the movies while producers are not at all ready to let go of her.

As of now, Huma Qureshi is part of two projects Ek Thi Dhayaan and Dedh Ishqiya . Dedh Ishqiya is still under pre-production while Ek Thi Dhayaan is going to release in the april. But Huma needs to do some re-takes for the movie Ek Tha Dhayaan due to which her dates are getting clashed with the dates of Dedh Ishqiya which is produced by Vishal Bharadwaj too.

Tanuj Garg (CEO- Balaji Telefilms) who is perplexed about the situation said, “It’s an amusing intra-company issue, which will be worked out soon. There will be some adjustment and we will figure out the dates. As both films are from the same production house, it’s in the mutual interest. Even Emraan Hashmi (who stars in Ek Thi Daayan) gave dates in mid March, though he’s been busy shooting for his next film with Danis Tanovic in Patiala. He has given us four days, so we have to work around his dates. We are trying to get Huma’s dates around the same time.”

Hope Huma Qureshi will continue her success for longer period in Bollywood.

What’s Parineeti Chopra’s problem with Priyanka Chopra?

Parineeti Chopra doesn’t like being called Priyanka Chopra’s cousin. Not that she doesn’t love her cousin, it’s just that every time she is discussed, Priyanka’s name is mentioned. Parineeti now wants her own identity.

“I am proud to be Priyanka’s sister. But I want to be known for myself, the way Ranbir is known although he is Kareena Kapoor’s cousin. People should forget where I come from. I don’t want to be called only Priyanka’s sister. I want to be as good as her. People should say Priyanka and Parineeti are both fabulous actors.”

Priyanka Chopra is not a competition for Parineeti, at all.“How can Priyanka be my rival? She is been here so much longer. I think I am lucky that I am known after just two films as more than Priyanka’s cousin. People say we’re both good actors.”

Parineeti rejects stardom. She says, “I am not a star at all! Stardom comes after years of work. It doesn’t happen with two films. Let me get a solid 7-8 years of work done before we talk of stardom for me. I’m just lucky to be here at a time when audiences are willing to watch newcomers. Yeah, I do enjoy being recognized on the streets. If that didn’t happen, I’d be really depressed. My aim is to be known by everyone who sees films. I don’t want any viewer to ask, ‘Parineeti who?’”

Vidya will essay the role of MS Subbulakshmi, Deepika Padukone is said to play Vidya’s sister, Bala.Rajiv Menon, who is known to be a big fan of Deepika is keen to work with her and so he will ensure that she is not sidelined by Vidya and that both will get meaty roles.
